Boogiepop wa Warawanai (2019) – Episode 03

That dialed up to 11 real fast. Damn son.

This release contains two tracks, at the request of our partner group. The primary no-honorifics track, set to language flag ENG, and a secondary honorifics-included track, set to language flag ENM.

Joint with DameDesuYo.

    • Not really. I’d rather not support remuxing our releases because you can cause other issues for your playback experience if you don’t know what you’re doing.

Aren’t you able to swap tracks in your player?

      • I use Windows Media Player 12, don’t really see how to do it in the Lyrics, Captions, and Subtitles sub-menu.

        • Most modern subtitle releases barely work in WMP versions.

You should look at our Playback page and consider using either CCCP (which uses Media Player Classic) or MPV.

  1. I’d like to take a moment to give Period massive props for leaving that little gap between lines of dialogue during the long static shots. It really sells the solemn pace of the show.

People don’t respect timers enough. Nice work.

  2. Yes, but it wraps up the adaptation of Boogiepop and Others, the first novel in the series. Future anime arcs will adapt later novels, many of which feature largely different casts of characters (the next to be adapted is the wonderfully-named “Boogiepop Returns: VS Imaginator Part 1”), so don’t get too attached to people like Niitoki (best girl BTW) who will practically never appear again.

Basically, this series will break up into character-multiplying arcs the same way Index does, except that it’ll never really coalesce into a single plotline like that show and there’s no climax. I hope you’re all prepared for this.
