Ascendance of a Bookworm – Episode 29

In this episode, we see the entire winter condensed into half an episode. Yay!
To put that into perspective, this episode adapts 8 chapters from Part 2 Volume 3, and so we’re nearing the end of the volume already.
This season is supposed to be adapting Vol. 3 and Vol. 4, so let’s hope we’re rushing through V3 to make more screen time for V4…

  1. Hoping beyond hope they don’t pull a Neverland and footnote the entire rest of the series in the last ~3min of the final episode.

    • Neverland was the worst case scenario for that kind of deal. They skipped FOUR WHOLE ARCS and changed the ending. In the case of Bookworm, it looks like they only skipped a slow, unnecessary arc that had little impact on the overall story to get back to the main story quicker. Also it’d be repetitive to focus on Myne getting sick from the weather again since they already did that in season 1.

  2. Seeing that the two important scenes are at the end of this arc, maybe that is what they are doing. I hope that is what they are doing.

    • That’s what I’m currently thinking too. 4 episodes for volume 3, 6 episodes for volume 4, since vol.3 is more “filler-y” and vol.4 contains more events very important for the plot. Hopefully.

  3. There’s an error at 23:11, it should be “how to stop people from leaving” instead of “how to stop from people leaving”

    • I actually caught that in QC, but the changes got lost in applying some other fixes… In any case, thanks – fixed for batch.
